CAPPA Certified Childbirth Educators

Are you passionate about working with babies and pregnant women? Well, if family-centred maternity care attracts you, then our Childbirth Educator Certification program with CAPPA is the best for you. Childbirth And Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA) will provide you with all the knowledge required to become a Childbirth Educator. Our mission is to equip you with excellent skills to facilitate expectant parents physically and mentally for all their upcoming milestones from pregnancy, labour and birth, and postpartum.

Why childbirth education?

Because good prenatal education sets the stage for successful early parenting, which is the most important period in a child’s life.

Harvard’s Centre On the Developing Child stated that:

“healthy development in the early years (particularly birth to three) provides the building blocks for educational achievement, economic productivity, responsible citizenship, lifelong health, strong communities, and successful parenting of the next generation.”

So, the first three years of life are the most impactful in a child’s life. Giving birth is an unforgettable experience and an important life transition. Positive experience in childbirth presents a unique and powerful opportunity for early healthy attachment between parents and newborns.

Our goal is to offer you this amazing expert-level training so you can support new parents for their life transition.

This Childbirth Educators training fulfills part of the certification process to become a CCCE (CAPPA Certified Childbirth Educator). A respected credential recognized in North America enables you to teach childbirth classes in Canada and the US.

Caring for Kids, Canadian Pediatric Society, stated Attachment is a connection for life.

“Secure or healthy attachment is the foundation that lets your child explore the world and have a safe place to come back to…Attachment is essential to long-term emotional health…it also helps your child learn how to trust other people, so it’s an important part of developing healthy relationships later in life.”
