Women's Health & Childbirth Education
Pregnancy, birth, and early parenting can be joyful — but for many individuals, this season also brings anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm, or resurfacing trauma. Perinatal mental health challenges are common, and seeking support is a strong and courageous first step.
If you are pregnant or caring for a newborn and experiencing persistent anxiety, sadness, fear, or emotional disconnection, perinatal mental health support can help you regain balance, clarity, and confidence during this important life transition.
According to Postpartum Support International, early mental health support significantly improves outcomes for individuals experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and birth-related trauma.
Our psychotherapy services focus specifically on Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs). We provide evidence-based, compassionate care tailored to the emotional and psychological challenges that arise during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
We offer psychotherapy grounded in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) to help you:
manage pregnancy-related anxiety and stress
process birth trauma and difficult experiences
reduce symptoms of depression and PTSD
develop effective coping and emotional regulation skills
strengthen confidence during early parenting
Your mental health directly impacts both your well-being and your baby’s emotional and physical development. Support during this stage can make a lifelong difference.

Yes. Many parents experience anxiety, low mood, or emotional overwhelm during pregnancy or after childbirth. Hormonal changes, sleep deprivation, life transitions, and past experiences can all contribute. You are not weak, and you are not alone.
No. Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, numb, or even fearful after finding out you’re pregnant is very common. Pregnancy can trigger uncertainty, past experiences, or worries about responsibility and change. These reactions do not mean you won’t be a good parent or that you don’t want your baby.
